Do you believe there is value in suffering?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 11, 2009:
This is a very interesting question. What is the value of the African people suffering? Hasn't it been many, many years of their suffering? Disease, starvation, death. When I acknowedge that the same happens here in America, on our homefront. It makes the value of suffering easier for me. Without us suffering to make our lives right we would not be able to help others come out of the things we and our forefathers have. May the world be at peace, with harmony, joy and love be in our wings.
